IKEA Australia is offering shoppers a new major deal to buy back unwanted furniture.

Shoppers can receive store an extra 50 per cent credit on a gift card when they return their old pieces to the Swedish furniture chain between November 25 and December 31.

Depending on the condition of the product, IKEA Family members can score the additional value when they generate a quote through the retailer’s Buy Back service from November 25 to December 5.

For example, shoppers would typically receive a refund card for $100 on a second hand Poang chair, retailed at $229 - but with the special promotion, they will get $150.
