Hoyts Cinemas - $10 Movie Tickets - Starts Thurs 2nd July

Hoyts Cinemas are officially reopening across Australia in a “staggered approach” from July 2.

You can expect the best from your movie experience and once again order tickets, food and drinks online with Google Play, on the Apple Store and the official Hoyts website. If you love a little bit of extra luxury, you can also experience Hoyts Lux for just $25 for a limited time.

“We are excited to open our doors in time for the school holidays and welcome guests back to the Hoyts experience, along with $10 movie tickets on select titles,” President and CEO of the Hoyts Group, Damian Keogh said in a statement.

New release blockbusters to screen in the coming weeks will include Russell Crowe’s Unhinged, the romantic comedy The Broken Hearts Gallery, Judd Apatow’s latest comedy The King of Staten Island, Disney’s live-action Mulan, Christopher Nolan’s epic Tenet, thriller New Mutants, and Bill & Ted Face The Music.

Audience favourites will also be screened including Bloodshot, Bad Boys for Life, 1917, and The Gentlemen for the adults; plus Sonic The Hedgehog, Jumanji: The Next Level, Dolittle, Addams Family, Call of the Wild, Ghostbusters (1984), The Goonies, Matilda, Labyrinth, and all eight Harry Potter films for the young and young at heart.

Earlier this month, Keogh also said that after three months of being closed, the cinema chain will also have in place a number of protocols “to try and create the safest possible environment for our workers and our customers”.

Some of these protocols include in-cinema seat separation, to meet State regulation and compliance requirements, in-cinema seat separation, encouragement of social distancing, additional cleaning protocols, sufficient time between sessions for detail cleaning, sanitiser stations with complimentary hand sanitiser and encouragement of contactless transactions (via online bookings, kiosk, or the Hoyts app).
