Australia Open - Free Entry to Qualifying Tournament [8-11 January, 2019]

In addition to the main draw tennis action, Australian Open 2019 comprises a full calendar of exciting events and activities for fans to enjoy.

Here is a snapshot of the action below, with more details to be released closer to the event.

The Qualifying tournament runs from 8-11 January. Entry to Melbourne Park during this time is free.

Practice matches to be placed in match like conditions will be played on Margaret Court Arena during Qualifying. Entry to these matches is free. Practice match schedule below.

  • 8 January: 3:00 -5:00pm & 5:30-7:30pm
  • 9 January: 2:00 – 4:00pm
  • 10 January: 3:00 – 5:00pm
  • 11 January: 3:00 – 5:00pm & 5:30 - 7:30pm

The AO Draw Ceremony is on 10 January from 6pm at Margaret Court Arena. This is a free, ticketed event. Tickets will be available closer to the event via Ticketek.

Kids Tennis Day is on 12 January from 8:30am-4:30pm. This is a ticketed event: Adults tickets are $25, Kids aged 3 – 14 tickets are $5. Read more

beyondblue Concert is on 13 January at AO Live Stage from 3:00pm – 10:00pm. This is a free, ticketed event. Buy Tickets

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Day is on Thursday 17 January. Thanks to ANZ, up to 7,000 kids will enter the Australian Open 2019 free of charge. Buy Tickets

NBL Match is on 23 January at Melbourne Arena from 5:00pm-9:00pm. A specific NBL Ground Pass is required.

AO Inspirational Series is on 24 January at Glasshouse 9:30am-1:00pm. This is an invitation only event.
