Virgin Australia - 50% Off Domestic & International Flight Fares for Kids

Plan your next family adventure in Australia or New Zealand and receive 50% off kids fares when you book in the same transaction as an adult fare.

Valid for travel from 05 February 2020 until 25 March 2020, and from 01 May 2020 until 31 May 2020.

Kids discounts will be shown in the cart summary.


  • Brisbane to Sydney = $146 total ($73 each)
  • Sydney to Melbourne = $192 total ($97 each)
  • Sydney to Gold Coast = $187 total ($93 each)
  • Melbourne to Queenstown = $358 total ($179 each)
  • Auckland to Sydney = $246 total ($123 each)

On sale until 11:59pm AEST 30 October 2019 unless sold out prior. 50% discount applies to selected Domestic and Trans-Tasman children fares for travel from 05 February 2020 until 25 March 2020, and from 01 May 2020 until 31 May 2020. The discount is included in the displayed fare price when you make your booking after selecting a number of 'Children' in the Guest selection on the Virgin Australia website. Discount applies to the base fare and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Discount does not apply to fees and taxes. A child is a guest over 2 years of age who is not yet 12 years of age. All children must be accompanied by an adult aged 15 years or older on the same fare on the same fare class and flights in the same booking. All fares are subject to availability. Seats are limited and may not be available at peak times or on all flights. Price may vary until ticketed. A checked baggage allowance is included in your fare. Add $40 for bookings made on the phone or at the airport. All payments made by debit/credit card are subject to a payment surcharge. Changes and cancellations incur a fee and any applicable fare difference. See Virgin Australia's Fees page for details. Name changes are not permitted. Refunds are not permitted under your fare rules but you may be entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law in certain circumstances. Check your fare rules for more information.
