Telstra - Bonus Data on Mobile Broadband Data Plans: Small 20GB (Was 10GB) | Medium 60GB (Was 50GB) | Large 200GB (Was 100GB)

I just spotted this offer!

Australian operator Telstra has updated the domestic data allowance on Small, Medium and Large mobile broadband data plans to provide subscribers with more data at no extra charge.

Large plan subscribers will now receive double the data for the same monthly cost.

Telstra says all its existing consumers and small business mobile broadband customers on these plans will automatically see this extra data from their next billing cycle.

This initiative aims to meet the growing mobile data demand during the COVID-19 lockdown. In the third week of March, Telstra saw the number of activations of mobile broadband data plans jump by almost 50 percent from the previous week. The week after, the operator posted another increase of nearly a quarter again.

Telstra’s AUD 25 per month Small data plan is jumping from 10GB to 20GB of included data, while AUD 50 per month Medium data plan customers will get the same amount of extra data – from 50GB to 60GB included. Customers on an AUD 75 per month Large plan, will see their old 100GB of included data doubled to 200GB.

This new initiative complements Telstra’s other measures for consumer and small business customers, including the offer of 25GB of extra data to use in Australia within 30 days for post-paid mobile and mobile broadband customers, as well as unlimited home broadband data until 30 June 2020 for customers with fixed (ADSL, NBN and cable) connections.

All Telstra’s current mobile data plans also include no excess data charges in Australia. Customers who exceed their data allowance will still be able to access data but their speed will slow to 1.5Mbps.
