RFID security and wallets.
Does anyone worry about 'skimming' of cards? I need a new wallet, and was having a hunt and saw this.... actually doesn't look too bad, but the part that read "Includes Radio Frequency Identification Security – to protect you against identity and payment theft." caught my eye. Is it such an issue that I should get one?

Wow never thought about protecting my wallet before, but it makes sense!
10 years ago i thought it would be a crazy idea to do this.
Especially with travelling overseas it would be good.
seems pretty cheap, name brand too.

I'm thinking maybe I should get one, but then again sometimes it's handy not to have to take cards out of the wallet - for example I have a 'myki' travel card for here in Melbourne - I can simply tap my wallet against the entrance/exit reader, but with this I'd need to take it out.... it's not just a convenience thing, I'd rather not be fumbling about with my wallet in public. Will have to think about it some more!

yeh i do the same thing with my card for transperth , leave it in my wallet and tap and go.
I saw someone today at a shop have a 'scan stopper' card that stops people being able to scan your credit card.. similar to what is in the wallet you were looking at.
