Reccommend TV Series/Movies for my train journey!

So i catch the train everyday to work - about 40 minute journey

Have just finished how i met your mother - so programs in a similar vain would be good..

Am about to embark on the IT Crowd after a couple of users ( KB & ninhursag - btw how did you come up name/pronunciation ? :) )

also after movies, ironman, oceans series, action movies , and just started watching any given sunday ...
havent been able to get into big bang theory, people must watch it as channel 9 show it every 2nd hour ( almost )

needs to be no nudi/rudi - Tried to watch boardwalk empire but too many rudi bits, so i need something ok to watch on the train :)

fire away.

The train journey is perfect for 2 x 22 minutes tv shows,

IT crowd (IT as in Information Technology) will keep you busy for weeks. If you like it, you will also like Big Bang Theory. No nudi/rudi in both of these. Anther two I can recommend are Becker and Last Man Standing.

Recently, I have gotten myself into 'Engineering' docos and once you're hooked, they can also be addictive.

I think i may have watched and episode a couple of years back of last man standing, but never got into, might have to re-check it out! Thanks for the heads ups.

Might have to try and find some doco's as well, they are always interesting..

As well as reading a book or two on the kindle, I also like to listen to some podcasts. Both to entertain but also to kickstart my mind. Generally I like to listen to something that is thought provoking (Radiolab, Skeptics' Guide) in the morning, and something a little more hobby related and/or humorous in the afternoon to relax (eg this Week in Photo or Welcome to Night Vale). So a selection (in no particular order) would include:

  • The Reality Check
  • Dr Karl's Great Moments in Science
  • Skeptoid
  • Click
  • Radiolab
  • The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe
  • Welcome to Night Vale
  • This American Life

As for videos, well other than what's already been mentioned, maybe:

  • Ripping Yarns
  • The Worst Week of my Life
  • Warehouse 13

and for docos/other, maybe:

  • Bad Universe
  • Planet Earth
  • Earthflight
  • TopGear
  • James May's Man Lab
  • Never Ever Do this At Home
  • Penn & Teller - Tell a Lie; Fool Us; Magic & Mystery Tour
  • Megastructures

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, i have got a great list now.. definitely keen on docos, so they might move to the top of the list for me..
