JB Hi-Fi - FREE Huawei P20 Pro or OPPO Find X with a $65 Telstra Phone Plan

JB Hi-Fi recently launched a couple of exclusive Telstra plans available in-stores only, and it's been running some great deals to celebrate. The latest is a completely free phone if you sign up to its $65 plan on a 24-month contract.

You can pick from a Huawei P20 Pro, an OPPO Find X, a 64GB Samsung Galaxy S8, or a Nokia 8 Sirocco. For what it's worth, we'd recommend either the Find X or the P20 Pro - they're some of our favourite phones with tested this year so far.

In terms of the plan itself, you're looking at $65 per month for 80GB of data and unlimited talk and text, which certainly isn't insignificant. The only catch is you need to commit to 24-months, which comes to $1,560 over two years. But given that both the Find X and P20 Pro retail for $1,099 outright, in some ways, you could look at it as paying your device off choice off over two years while only paying $470 for two years of service and a truckload of data.

For comparison, you're current looking at $59 per month for 60GB on a Telstra SIM-only plan, or $89 for 90GB thanks to a bonus data deal. These are sold on a shorter 12-month contract, however.

The JB Hi-Fi offer is however only available to customers not already on Telstra. Customers who port out and in aren't eligible either; you must have been off the Telstra network for 30 days to qualify.
