How to use Amaysim data plans for laptops?

Sorry if this comes across as a stupid question to the more technologically aware users here.

I have finally bought a replacement laptop and we already have TPG broadband at home but I am looking for something for the train ride. I have looked at mobile broadband plans from a few providers and Amaysim does seem like a good option. However, Amaysim don't seem to have a dongle option and they are only providing a SIM.

How do I get this to work? I have no other use for mobile data other my laptop.

cheers

I think most use them with iPads and tablets. For a computer, you can either get an unlocked from eBay for under $30 or use a router that supports a mobile SIM.

If it's just for the train ride, so perhaps not talking a lot of data, I'd consider using the 'phone and tethering. If your current plan doesn't have a lot of data, then might still be cheaper increasing that rather than having a separate dongle?

Like ninhursag suggested, what I currently do is use my mobile as a wifi hotspot and connect via my laptop. I do find that it can eat up data very quickly though with large windows updates, so I'd suggest using your home wifi and making sure it's updated regularly on that.
