Gift ideas for Father’s Day

I am not very good at remembering birthdays and other occasions. In the past among other occasions I have forgotten Father’s Day and have rushed last minute to sort out the gift. This year I have decided to be more organised and plan on getting it right. I am not gonna opt for the usual clothing, perfumes, tool kit etc.

Thinking of getting a gadget for my old man but haven't made up my mind yet. With three weeks to go for once I have got time on my side but seem to be running out of ideas. Help!

So any suggestions? Hopefully not too expansive but still unique.

Can keep your eye open for those group buy sites (groupon/scoopon/etc) for something - can get some fairly unique 'experience' gifts like rides in flying simulators, real planes, racing cars, etc.... just need to be careful on expiration dates. Also helps if you have some siblings who can share the cost. The other year we got a voucher for my dad to go on an old biplane - he loved it.
