Free - The Frick Travels with a Curator: Ca' d'Oro, Venice, Italy

Just spotted this awesome offer!

Now you can with a free virtual tour by the Frick Collection. Located in New York City, the Frick Collection is a premier museum and research centre best known for its distinguished Old Master paintings and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts.

Ca' d'Oro, also known as the Palazzo Santa Sofia, may be the best known example of residential Venetian Gothic architecture in the city. Its name literally means "golden house" due to the gilt and polychrome external decorations which once adorned its walls.

Xavier F. Salomon, Peter Jay Sharp Chief Curator of the Frick will take us on a virtual tour and introduce us to this palace on the Grand Canal in Venice.

It is home to a fine collection of paintings from the Venetian and Tuscan schools, and a smaller collection of sculpture and ceramics.

This house museum was lovingly restored around the same time that the Frick mansion was built in New York City. It has become a well-photographed landmark on tours of the city's Grand Canal.
