Dick Smith to Close all store by 8 weeks time

Well, this is it. We had so many deals for them, and a lot of my first deals were actually Dick Smith ones.

Up goes the unemployment rate - hopefully the ones that are losing their jobs can find another job really soon.

Dick Smith deals have been big at TopBargains. Many of the users have shared there deals here mostly every day.

Sorry to see the demise. Over the years the visitors have saved a lot on tech deals.

The silver lining is that employee entitlements would rank as priority and are expected to be paid in full by Dick Smith.

Good on Flight Centre. But this must also be a publicity stunt too.

Products are getting marked down anyway, and it's only for the short term. They'll live without a staff discount :) The only issue we have is that we now have one less major competitor on the market, meaning we will have less competitive prices from other retailers like JB and Harvey Norman.

Agreed. Low competition is never good. You could have got excellent bargains at Dick Smith because of there discount coupons in TopBargains almost everyday.

I guess same is gonna happen with Masters vs Bunnings too.

Not sure, would be good if we had a list of the closing dates of each store though
