I won't be shopping on boxing day this year!! I did last year, and then a week later the same products which I purchased were still in stock and further reduced!!! I felt ripped off... the only offers I think that are worthwhile, are Myer and David Jones "one day" offers and similar, and obviously if you have your heart set on something and don't want it to sell out, worth snapping up ASAP...

I agree with you to some extent. I guess the issue is that very few retailers (apart from the big ones) really plan their boxing day sales well. In the US, most retailers will have some crazy deals on the boxing day to get the traffic and then people will buy other things too while our retailers want to cash in on the boxing day hype without offering great deals and then they end up dropping prices when sales don't come.

Having said the above, Boxing day sales in Australia are getting better every year and hopefully we will have better sales this year around as well.

Once again, most sales have started ahead of Boxing Day. Why call them boxing day sales? :)
