Australia Post Parcel Lockers, anyone used them?
http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/p...
Has anyone used this service? Australia Post almost always never deliver parcels but just leave a card even if someone's at home so this service should be useful.
At the same time, I don't trust Australia Post can run things well so don't want lost parcels or messed up deliveries.
Has anyone tried this service?

I have seen these lockers few weeks ago when I was visiting Rhodes shopping centre. But I have not used this service. Do you have to pay for this service? as you know nothing is free in Australia, specially services.

Yes - I've been home when they've just popped the note in the letterbox and shot off. Very annoying. Anyhow. This is free at the moment, but may be charged for eventually according to the terms & conditions. It's a good idea... Although not all carriers will accept it as, for example, they may require a signature.....

I think this has become more of a norm in this industry. They will leave the note although you have been waiting in your home for whole day for a parcel. It has happened to me several times and it really annoys me.

Tots agree. I get things delivered to work as i am there all the time. Hard for people not at work though, Posties will find it hardere to deliver to houses rather than businesses.
I guess Aust post are using parcel lockers so that they dont have to 'try' and deliver it to home users, as it is very expensive if only 50% people are home, they have to go back to the post office pickup anyway. Cost cutting .

I get stuff delivered to my office, although would prefer to have most things delivered to my home... So I'm lucky to have that option.
