Good one. Beat me to listing this! ;-)

I am very tempted by the Chromecast - Just creeps into the $49 bracket so with voucher becomes $39 delivered!

Lol. I got 2 emails this Morning, this Dick Smith and the good guys.. I posted the goods guys to before realising you had just posted it :-)
The chromecast is a very good deal. I have to get a new TV before I can do it, I only have 1 hdmi port :-(

Same here - just we obviously were doing it in a different order! As for the Chromecast, you should be able to use a cheap HDMI switch. You can get them from around the $5 mark, and they can auto detect if a device is on, but as the chromecast might be on all the time you might want a switch with a remote control (eg this guy) and either use that remote or if you have something like a Logitech Harmony simply program that in to change the switch as required.....

Or of course you can use this as an excuse to get that tv you always wanted needed.

Other problem i have a wife that doesn't like change! she has just got down pat how to put a movie on the TV for the kids during the day when i am not there, she has to switch to dvd player, and change inputs, we have a harmony remote which makes it easier but still it would be a change..
